Construction Solicitor / Associate (flexible on location and remote working possible)

Our Team

The team are known for their work in the Real Estate sector, specifically working on construction and engineering projects, as well as advising on procurement law.

Some of the things we’ve been doing recently:

  • College – innovative public/private project to develop the College’s campus with a new skills centre, training hotel and residential units

  • Private Developer – large residential scheme in London with some mixed use

  • Private Developer – new supermarket development in the South East for a major chain

  • International Architects Practice – acting in ICC arbitration in connection with an infrastructure project

  • Acting for a health sector client in successful adjudication proceedings for professional negligence in connection with a construction project

Your Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing national team. You’ll have the chance to work closely with partners and be involved in high-profile commercial developments right from the start, working on projects all across the country. Whilst it would be great if you have experience of both contentious and non-contentious work, we’d be happy to consider those with just non-contentious experience. Equally, we’re keen to accommodate what’s best for you, so we can be flexible on location and are open to discussions about remote working.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Ideally 3-6 years PQE (but there is scope to look outside of this)

  • Experience of both contentious and non-contentious work

  • An ability to work on own initiative but also as a supportive team player, working as part of a national Construction team

  • The confidence to hit the ground running

We’re proud of our values, and we’re looking for people who share them:

  • To be pioneering with an imaginative outlook

  • To be approachable and caring

  • To be tenacious in the pursuit of our objectives

  • To be efficient in the provision of our services

  • To work with a foundation of integrity.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to receive your application.

The Benefits

In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.

Additional Information

As part of our on-boarding process all successful applicants are required to complete the group’s employment screening process. This process helps to ensure that all new employees meet our standards in relation to honesty and integrity therefore protecting the interests of the Group, existing employees, clients, partners and other stakeholders.

The background checks made will establish your eligibility to work in the UK, and criminal record check and financial checks with a credit reference agency will also be undertaken.

The employment screening process will fully comply with Data Protection and other applicable laws.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
